Arctic Monkeys adalah salah satu band yang paling berpengaruh di Inggris.            * Pemilik nama lengkap Elizabeth Woolridge Grant tumbuh di Lake Placid, pemukiman di luar negara bagian New York. Pada umur 15 tahun ia sekolah di asrama Connecticut sebelum pindah ke New York pada umur 18 tahun dan belajar metafisik di Fordham University. "Saat itulah pengalaman musikku dimulai," ujarnya kepada majalah Vogue.

* Lana mulai tampil di beberapa klub dengan nama-nama berbeda, termasuk Lizzy Grant, Sparkle Rope Jump Queen and Lizzy Grant dan the Phenomena. "Aku selalu bernyanyi, tetapi tidak berencana untuk membuatnya serius," katanya.

* Pada usia 20 tahun, ia menandatangani kontrak US$ 10 ribu atau sekitar Rp 94 juta dan pindah untuk tinggal di trailer dekat dengan kota. Album yang direkam kemudian disimpan, menyebabkan kehilangan fokus. Sebagai gantinya Lana mulai bekerja dalam pelayanan masyarakat.
